About
Some decades ago, Sûl left home in search of a cure for a hereditary curse that had marked her for death. Or, failing that, in search of life with some excitement in it! She found the latter as a lounge singer and all-around indolent arm-candy to Ravnica's elite... but her hunger for the former drove her to join the spy guild Dimir. Since then, she's been cheerfully trading in secrets and gossip, but come no closer to curing herself.
The Hellions
A gang of misfits and idealists with whom circumstance has thrown Sûl together. Perhaps someday they might grow close enough to be considered friends? Perhaps, even... they already are?
Maeve / Sergeant Redtail
[
Human Boros Legionnaire ] Apparently a genuinely sincere and good-hearted person, which confuses Sûl immensely; her altruism and sheer morality are so counter to Sûl's worldview that they initially thought she was faking them as some sort of ploy. Despite their best efforts, they are catching Feelings for her (not attraction; the Feeling is friendship, which is Worse).
Shiv / Siobhan / Bonnie / Sprinkles
[
Changeling Rakdos Assassin ] Perhaps the member of the party Sûl feels they understand best. Her shady, secretive soul resonates with theirs in a way they... haven't really found before. They'd trust her with their life and most of their schemes, if not with their home address.
Our Lady Of The Penitent Dead / Penny / Penitent
[ Human Orzhov Knight ] Though Sûl initially considered Penny just another easily-manipulated Orzhov stiff, they've recently achieved a slightly greater level of understanding with her, based on their shared view of relationships as inherently transactional. They still find her pretty naïve, though, which they think is cute.
Judgement / Jud
[
Aasimar Boros Legionnaire ] Though
Sûl doesn't know of their resemblance to Judgement's late fiancée, they can tell that they have some kind of hold over her. But she offers her friendship and help so freely and openly that even usually-sanguine Sûl feels uncomfortable taking advantage of that bond. They're left to genuinely befriend her, which makes them skittish but also slightly warmed.
Wax
[
Goblin Gruul Vagabond ] Reminds Sûl of themself when they were a kid, except he remained true to himself where they... didn't. They're always about ten seconds from offering him a makeover and teaching him to walk in heels, but actually they kind of respect that he hasn't commodified himself for the masses in a way they have. (They're low-key jealous, too.)
